I am just relocating back to Wilson county and am really looking forward to getting to know my community, economic landscape, as well as being a part of its strategic growth & development.
Why Should You Be Selected To Participate
I am new to the community, this is true. However, I believe wholeheartedly that in order to really embrace and understand the community to which you live & work, it is important to gain a full, robust understanding of each entity of what makes it so special. I want to be a part of Leadership Wilson so that I can understand the background of the county and equally the direction to which it looks to go. My hopes as my family and I settle here is to create a LIFE in Wilson, not just a home.
Expectations From/For Participation
I want to better understand the past dynamics, the political landscape, alongside the social economical impacts of day to day life within Wilson County. I have had the pleasure of being a part of a county's leadership program in Alabama before and I gained so many longtime friends, colleagues, and mentors throughout that process, creating a network of likeminded "brain trust" to bounce ideas off of and support each other to better our backyard community.
Community Challenge / Issue / Goal
From my short time within Wilson county, I, having kids in the school system know that overcrowding with certain schools is a challenge within certain schools. With the rapid growth and influx of transplants, myself included, how do we keep up with the growth amongst our school system & roadways.
