1. THE SURGICAL CLINIC: Currently employed as a nurse practitioner for The Surgical Clinic, LLC. Assists in the management and care of general surgery patients, including surgical consultations and post-surgical care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Complete assessments, order and review diagnostic imaging and testing, and regularly completes minor surgical procedures, including skin biopsies, excisional biopsies. Work specifically with a general surgeon Dr John Boskind to diagnose and treat issues with the gallbladder, thyroid, breast, colon, skin etc. Currently have privileges at Summit Medical Center. 2. Owner and nurse practitioner offering aesthetics and wellness, including hormone replacement, weight loss and management, nutrition replacement and iv hydration, Botox, fillers, and additional aesthetic procedures.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Lebanon High School with highest honors (16th of 351 students). Member of various clubs and organizations including Beta Club, FCA, FHA, Interact, student council, graduation committee, Latin Club, Stars, track team, and Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Staff member of The Devils’ Advocate (newspaper), and host for LHS This Morning (morning school broadcast). Attended Girls’ State, served as captain of the cheerleading squad, and served as a class officer. Received the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R) citizenship award. COLLEGE: Graduated from Cumberland University cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN). Received the Outstanding Nursing Clinical Award in 2002. Member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Honors Challenge Program, Alpha Chi Honor Society, Chi Epsilon Lambda Honor Society in Nursing, and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Served as Secretary of the Student Nurses Association and Secretary of the nursing class of 2003. Completed Advanced Care clinical rotation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s trauma unit and burn unit.
Education: Extracurricular / Leadership
SUMMIT: Registered nurse at Summit Medical Center. Served as interim charge nurse and preceptor in the ED. Member of Summit’s Quality Magnet Council and Summit’s ED Focus Team. Presented Grand Rounds for Summit Medical Center in fall of 2008. Grand Rounds content covered stroke assessment, management and intervention. Recipient of the STAR award for the medical center for clinical excellence. VANDERBILT: Attended monthly case conferences and served as a member of the medical quality improvement committee (MCQI). Was co-editor of the pediatric protocols for the LifeFlight division. Served as an adjunct faculty member for the department of emergency medicine, teaching the advanced airway cadaver lab. Instructed LifeFlight staff, Emergency Medicine staff, as well as pulmonary and critical care advanced practitioners and providers. Also served as medical expert for "Nashville" television series and Tim McGraw "highway don’t care" video.
