Lead Physical Therapist, Co Chair of Pressure Injury Prevention Committee, Chair of Employee Engagement Committee. I treat wound care, lymphedema and orthopedic patients daily. As well as produce our therapy staff's monthly newsletter, track our discharge and evaluation reports, and engage with community doctors to increase referrals. I also meet weekly with our COO of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital to plan for the employee engagement committee. I meet 3-4 times monthly with the pressure injury prevention committee to ensure we are properly educating our staff on how to best prevent pressure injuries at Vanderbilt Wilson County.

Current Activities
Weekly bible study, serve monthly at The Journey Church in the Children's Ministry. I am my sons baseball coach for the city of Lebanon for the last two season. Chair of the Employee Engagement Committee for the hospital and Co-Chair of Pressure Injury Prevention for the Hospital.
Major Barriers
I have children who are 3 and 5 years and are now at the age where I can be more involved in their activities, community and work related activities.
Why Should You Be Selected To Participate
I love Wilson County and I love serving others. I chose a field, physical therapy, where I get to serve others daily and it is truly a dream job. I also want to serve my community and learn ways to help serve my community best. I also want to find ways to help Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital continue to grow and Leadership Wilson is great way to meet others who also have a passion to help and educate others. I also love helping others meet their goals. If I am able to make connections with others in the community then I can help others make connections down the road. I also LOVE people. I think connection is very important and being connected to the community you live in is even more important. I would be very honored to represent Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital in Leadership Wilson.
Expectations From/For Participation
Like I stated previously, I think connecting with others is a very important aspect to growing as an individual and in the workplace. I hope to use the connections, relationships and information I learned during this time to help serve and educate my community, workplace, patients, family and friends better. I want to be able to use my education and skills to continue to help serve Wilson County, whether that be my son's baseball team or a leader of a committee.
Community Challenge / Issue / Goal
Limited number of daycare spots for the fast growing community we live in. Currently, a parent has to put their child's name on a daycare waitlist a whole year before that spot is needed and that child could still be off the waitlist when it is time for that parent to go back to work. I would to help come up with a solution for this ever growing problem in Wilson County. Whether that be leading a team to help research other areas with this same problem and how they have found solutions, or helping come up with a plan to open more daycares in Wilson County over the next 5 years. I am very organized and love coming up with a good plan, and I would love to help serve future families here in Wilson County in this way.
