Current Activities / Involvement

Weekly bible study, serve monthly at The Journey Church in the Children's Ministry. I am my sons baseball coach for the city of Lebanon for the last two season. Chair of the Employee Engagement Committee for the hospital and Co-Chair of Pressure Injury Prevention for the Hospital.

Major Barriers

I have children who are 3 and 5 years and are now at the age where I can be more involved in their activities, community and work related activities.

Community Challenge / Issue / Goal

Limited number of daycare spots for the fast growing community we live in. Currently, a parent has to put their child's name on a daycare waitlist a whole year before that spot is needed and that child could still be off the waitlist when it is time for that parent to go back to work. I would to help come up with a solution for this ever growing problem in Wilson County. Whether that be leading a team to help research other areas with this same problem and how they have found solutions, or helping come up with a plan to open more daycares in Wilson County over the next 5 years. I am very organized and love coming up with a good plan, and I would love to help serve future families here in Wilson County in this way.

I hope to use the connections, relationships and information I learned during this time to help serve and educate my community, workplace, patients, family and friends better. I want to be able to use my education and skills to continue to help serve Wilson County, whether that be my son's baseball team or a leader of a committee.
