Current Activities / Involvement

mostly work related. we are involved with the MJ Chamber, MJ/Lebanon/County municipal design review and economic development teams.
i also enjoy getting involved when i can with MJ Rotary events (through my dad) and plan to join once i move to Tate Lane later this year.

Major Barriers

establishing my career. My goal was/is to get myself to a place where i feel comfortable volunteering my time to others instead of building my life (marriage, family, home, etc). My job is quite time consuming and honestly, up to this point, i have been too busy with work, travel, and family to really focus on my community involvement.

Community Challenge / Issue / Goal

community growth / expansion. as a developer / civil engineer, i am well versed in the development side of wilson county and i am excited to see it growing and honestly bursting at the seams with new residential, commercial, and warehouse developments. i believe some parts of the county have some problematic traffic issues, but with growth comes traffic...my goal is to utilize my experience in the development world to connect with the people in the county to better understand what exactly we want the future of our county to look like and how to best get there while also understanding that too much growth too fast can have some unintended side effects.

Participation Expectations

I would love to either this year or next be apart of the Leadership Wilson class so i can start my community involvement and hopefully make some genuine connections (and useful ones at that) with local folks for myself, my family, my career, and my future in Wilson County. i hope to gain connections both personally and professionally, and experience in the community from the inside out and learn as much as i can about what we need as a community and how we can move forward into our bright and promising future!
