Individual Class Member Details
Currently, I sit on the boards of Wilson Rides, Vista Points Special Needs Trust, and the Elder Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. I am also a member of the 15th Judicial District Bar Association; which I have spoken at as a presenter many times over the past few years. Finally, our firm is a trade partner at Del Webb which allows us to present seminars each month.
The aging and disabled community of Wilson County needs to become more of a focus. Mayor Hutto made a very good start to this when he and his office spearheaded the movement to bring Wilson Rides here to Wilson County. However, for me, it shed light on the fact that there is so much more we can do for the aging and disabled community. This has been a focus of mine for many years, but I hope my time in Leadership Wilson can further and promote the needs in this area.
Lebanon High School
Carson Newman College
Appalachian State University and Nashville School of Law
Recently I was elected and served as the president of the Elder Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.
My family spends time volunteering with Best Buddies.
My practice at Kane & Crowell, PLLC is specifically focused on Elder Law. Within my Elder Law practice, I do estate planning, trust and asset protection planning, Medicaid planning, and Veterans Benefits planning.
Leadership Wilson brings different people from different areas together. For years I have seen and heard how Leadership Wilson alumni have used the connections from their class, along with past and future alumni, to help get things done in their community. It's my expectation to learn about things I have a limited knowledge base of so I can implement what I learn and who I met to make Wilson County better for my clients, my friends, and my family.
